This paper presents the results of the Coasts of Guerrero Archaeological Atlas Project (2009-2011 seasons). Attention focuses on the cultural heritage along the southeast coast of Guerrero, Mexico. Systematic Explorations become an efficient strategy for site recording at the regional scale, based on a previous assessment and systematization of the Centro INAH-Guerrero archive. The archaeological record encompasses Pre-Columbian sites with monumental architecture, rock art and shell-middens, historical buildings and manuscripts dating the nineteenth century. Finally, issues upon cultural heritage promotion while carrying out systematic explorations are considered too.
