Abstract

This text aims to present reflections and problematisations on the production of political strategies in the emergence of dissent. Based on the results of a research and extension process carried out in one of the first cooperativised settlements in Montevideo - currently the Nueva Estrella Cooperative - it works with emerging controversies around the creation of a mural on the façade of a former factory located on the edges of the consolidated neighbourhood of Flor de Maroñas. In this way, it uses the cartography of controversies and participatory action research to account for what is involved in enunciative regimes as differences emerge in the disagreements provoked around the mural. The process accounts for human and non-human participation in the political strategies deployed in the face of action in disagreement. It is proposed to consider that the production of difference and the way in which differences weave dissent present a public, political and participatory way of creating a common dwelling.
