The The public space in the socialist Caracas: a contextualized construction

Abstract

The following article will propose approximations to a de nition of the public space in the contemporary Caracas. Basing on the ethnographic method, and on information gathered during a period interrupted of 1 year, we raise that the public space cannot be conceived as an un-dimensional way, but on the contrary, it must be constructed in a contextual way from the characteristics and practices of the subjects that do life in it.
